The Kash Money Miracle

At 11:10 this morning (sunday the 26'th of July), Deyton Kash Sorensen passed away peacefully in his parents arms. It was a painless passing and He left a remarkable impact on all of our lives. Never has anyone so beautiful reached the hearts of so many people so fast. He was a fighter and knew that he could not leave this earth until he could be home and spend time with his parents there.

We would like to thank everyone that has been involved and who continue to show love and support. There has not been one person who hasn't offered to help in some way. I think the love and support of everyone has made this whole process a lot easier than it should have been. Derek and Krystal are at peace knowing that Deyton has already made it back to His Heavenly Father.

The Funeral will be in the next couple of days and we will keep you updated on exact times and places.

My heart breaks for Derek and Krystal and their families. They must be pretty special to bring a sweet little spirit here that only needed to get a body and return to his Heavenly Father. I would love to help if there is anything I can do. My sister does flowers if you need help that way at all.

Derek and Krystal,

We love your family and are very sorry for your loss. Your baby was very special. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

When the sad news was given in primary today, I looked over at Ashlee and she had huge tears streaming down her face. She loves you both so much and keeps telling me now that she is glad that Baby Deyton is back with Heavenly Father so he won't be sick.

Thank you for being such a fantastic example to my 4 year old. I don't think she has ever felt so much love from a teacher as she has from you.

Please let me know if you need a meal or anything.

Dear Derek and Krystal,

You have been in all our prayers since the moment we found out about your sweet little one's complications, and my heart broke for you when I received the sad news this morning from my mom. You are such examples of faith and strength, and I'm amazed with your sweet perspective. Please know you are in our thoughts, our hearts, our prayers, and we wish we could be there to support you in person. Your child is beautiful and perfect, and it seems his spirit must have already been perfect too. :) We love you!

I've been praying, so hard and again I would like to say I am saddened to hear that Deyton passed on but I am sure he is looking down on all of us and he is with his father in heaven. He is helping, even though he is not here, he is helping us all in some way or another. He fought hard! R.I.P. Deyton!

We are the Hardy's and you don't know us, but we learned of your family through the Staheli's. First let us say how sorry we are for your loss. We also have a son with chd. He has hypo plastic right heart with many other defects. When and if the time is ever right there is an online support group based in Salt Lake for people with or who have children with chd. The president had a child with chd. She passed away when she was a few months old. If you have any interest the website is www.intermountainhealinghearts.org. May you find some peace during this very difficult time.

Derek & Krystal,
I am in awe of your strength and so sorry for Deyton's passing. What a valiant spirit your son must have been in the preexistence and will continue to be! I have cried many tears & said many prayers for your family over the last few days, even though I haven't seen you Derek for what, nine years!? But it's impossible to not feel the loving spirit of your family when you look at the pictures of your beautiful baby and how much you both obviously love him.
I found the following verse to "I Am a Child of God" a while ago after another friend had a baby pass away. I hope that sometime, someday, it brings you comfort.

"I am a child of God and He has called me home.
My earthly journey's through but still, I do not walk alone.
He leads me, guides me, walks beside me, helps me find the way.
He welcomed me with open arms. I live with Him today.

I am a child of God and I have gone ahead.
My earthly life was brief but oh, such peace and love you gave.
You loved me, held me, stood beside me and though I cannot stay.
You gave me much to help me and I live with Him today.

I am a child of God and I will wait for you.
Celestial glory shall be ours, if you can but endure.
I'll lead you, guide you, walk beside you.
Help you find the way.
I'll welcome you with open arms
One bright Celestial day.

I can't imagine the Lord thinking I was a strong enough person to bring a child to this world simply to obtain a body and then allow him to return home. Derek and Krystal must be looked at as amazing spirit's in the Lord's eyes. The promise of eternal families is such an amazing promise. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Derek & Krystal,
It's hard to know what to say as I know nothing anyone can say will ever make the pain leave. The two of you are so so strong and are very blessed to have eachother. Knowing that Deyton is so perfect, all he had to do was come to earth to receive a body is amazing and unbelieveable. Blessed will be the day your eternal family is reunited. We love you guys and admire your courage beyond words. Our thoughts & prayers are with you through this time.

I think of it as Deyton being called on his mission earlier than most boys.
